General duties of the position: 

To ensure all company legal requirements are updated and to protect the legal rights of company by working closing with other departments, external counsel/specialists,  and the related government authorities. 

 

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review legal related contacts for ongoing operations and transactions within group companies;

- Liaise on internal approvals, execution, and filing of related documents in relevant laws and regulations;

- Analyze legal issues and issues related to commercial risks, present clear recommendations and assure legal compliance;

- Assist to build up the company's legal policies; 

- Participating in negotiations with customers and vendors upon requested; 

- Keep abreast of all new laws and regulations that may have implications to the company; 

- Handle ad hoc assignments; 

- Laise with external legal counsel and / or other intermediaries.

 

Requirements:

- Hong Kong Qualified Solicitor with at least 3-5 years of post qualified experience gained in private practice and/or in-house; 

- Bachelor or above in Law, good knowledge in legislations and legal principles of HK and China;

- At least 5 years legal related work experience, MNC exposure is a plus; 

- Team player, self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility;

- Good problem-solving, analytical and organizaitonal skills; 

- Good interpersonal skills and commercial awareness; 

- Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin; Cantonese is a plus.
